Sync a CGM Device

If you are using a CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitoring) device to manage and track your glucose levels, your CGM can be synced with the LifeOmic Platform mobile app. We currently support syncing data from any device that writes to Google Fit (Android) or Apple Health (iOS).

The steps below use a Dexcom G6 device as an example.

Install the CGM device app on your device

First, you must install and set up the Dexcom App on your mobile device. After it has been successfully installed, click on the Settings gear in the Dexcom App, then click on Health Apps.

Set up syncing on an Android device

  1. Select Google Fit.
  2. Click Share.
  3. Select your Google account associated with your Dexcom G6.
  4. Click Allow to allow data syncing.

Set up syncing on an iOS device

  1. Click on Health.
  2. Select Enable.
  3. Select the Blood Glucose switch on the Health Access page.
  4. Click Done to allow data syncing.

Syncing the mobile app with Google Fit and Apple Health

  1. Open the mobile app.
  2. Click on the Profile icon.
  3. Click on the gear icon in the upper right to open Settings.
  4. Click Sync Data.
  5. Select the check boxes to authorize LifeOmic to view your glucose data, body measurements, and physical activity data.
  6. Click Continue to sync your data.

To view the CGM data in the LifeOmic Platform mobile app, an app user clicks the Continuous Glucose Monitoring tile. A LifeOmic Platform admin needs to add the tile to the mobile app with the Add and Remove Components procedure.
